Bitcoin is back, and the timing couldn’t be more perfect. Initial exchange offerings (IEOs) are reigniting interest in a new generation of altcoins and, as Bitcoin recovers, cryptocurrency trading is accelerating. As soon as the market settles down in a short-term sideways movement we are going to see other projects performing very well, these are the ones on our watch list.

1. Matic Network (MATIC)

Overview
Like the Lightning Network is for Bitcoin, the Matic Network is a second layer scaling solution for Ethereum. With Matic, Ethereum D’App transactions can settle almost instantly and the Plasma framework which Matic uses can also be used to launch an infinite number of Matic-based side chains.

Events
On April 25th, Matic became one of the latest IEO success stories of Binance Launchpad and Coinbase Ventures is part of the initial investors’ group, which boosts the probability of token listing on the Coinbase exchange. Major events also include proof of stake validator, plasma implementation and mainnet release.

2. BitTorrent Token (BTT)

Overview
BitTorrent Token was the first major IEO success of Binance Launchpad in 2019. Brought to market by Tron, BTT tokens are designed to monetize global BitTorrent traffic.

Events
Major upcoming events include the release of the BTT testnet in late May, followed by a full mainnet launch this coming August.

3. EOS (EOS)

Overview
Brought to market by BitShares and Steemit creator Dan Larimer, EOS is a self-proclaimed ‘Ethereum killer.’ Capable of lightning-fast transactions and being free for developers to use to launch new D’Apps, EOS is already a popular cryptocurrency among investors. However, EOS may be about to get a significant upgrade.

Events
Block One who own the EOS codebase, claim that an upcoming June announcement will be like “nothing ever before seen in the cryptocurrency space.” Expectations are, therefore, high that new features and a new development roadmap, which will help drive EOS prices skyward before the year is out.

4. Nexo (NEXO)

Overview
Nexo is already one of today’s most popular and most trusted blockchain-based lending platforms. Nexo allows existing cryptocurrency investors to deposit coins to unlock cash liquidity. Coins like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, XRP, etc. are held in Nexo secured wallets as collateral, as fiat cash is made available to coin depositors to spend (without selling any crypto).

Events
Nexo recently announced a 6.5% compound earn interest feature on EUR and major Stablecoins. The company is about to launch its ‘Nexo Card’ in June – a credit card with a credit line limit based on the market value of the crypto assets in your Nexo Wallet.

Events
Earlier this year, Pundi X launched the XPhone. The XPhone itself allows users to make both traditional and blockchain based calls. More recently in May, Pundi X burned 14.5 billion NPXS tokens. With further burning planned throughout 2019.
